



The Writer's Midwife is owned and operated by Elizabeth Ridley, author of four novels from major publishers. In addition to her own books, she has ghostwritten more than a dozen novels, memoirs, general nonfiction books, and feature film screenplays. With more than 18 years of experience in the publishing industry, Elizabeth has worked with more than 200 authors and authors-to-be.
Elizabeth has a bachelor's degree in journalism from Northwestern University and a master's degree in creative writing from the University of East Anglia in Norwich, England, where she studied under former Poet Laureate Sir Andrew Motion.
For several years Elizabeth taught in the Novel Writing and Advanced Novel Writing Workshops through Writer's Digest School. In addition, she has taught courses at the University of Wisconsin-Madison's Annual Writers' Institute and has spoken at the International Women's Writing Guild Big Apple Writing Workshops, the Guildford Book Festival in Guildford, England, and other venues.
